There's no better destination location than Southern California, and no better event location than Oceanside Harbor. After a swim in the sun-drenched and protected boating harbor, athletes will bike the fast, closed course of the San Luis Rey Mission Expressway, then run along the pristine Oceanside coastline. Before crossing the finish line on the spectator-filled strand, they will take in the signature sights of beachfront SoCal, mingled with Oceanside's old fishing village charm. Oceanside Pier — the longest wooden pier on the Pacific Coast — the famous Top Gun house, and the collage of wood-framed specialty shops, restaurants and a lighthouse will form the picture-perfect backdrop to this competitive experience.
Relay transition area
A designated relay area will be available near the run out area of the transition. Relay teams will use this area for both transitions. Swimmers will meet their biker in the pen. Biker will run to their designated bike rack, put on the timing chip and exit. Upon return, biker will rack their bike and meet their runner in the relay pen. Runner will exit to complete the race.
|NOV 1-MAR 31||APR 1-JUN 30||JUL 1-OCT 1||OCT 2-OCT 19||OCT 20-OCT 25|
Please note, there are no refunds, transfers or exchanges of registrations for any reason. Fees listed above do not include processing fees.
This event is sanctioned by USAT. Non-USAT members will be required to pay an additional $12 for a single event license from USAT. More information about USAT is available here.
Each member of the relay team must pick up their own packets. Team members will need to show ID and USAT membership card. The whole team does not need to come and pick up their packets together.
Swimmers will receive timing chip, bikers will receive bike and helmet number and runners will receive race bib. Each member of the relay will receive a wristband. Biker will be the only one that has the race bib number on it.

The Toyota Triple Crown Series is a new dimension in triathlon that brings additional drama and excitement to three existing Life Time Tri events: Life Time Tri Minneapolis, New York City Triathlon and Life Time Tri Oceanside. The newly created Series awards $50,000 to the top professional female or male triathlete who compete in all three Toyota Triple Crown events. The Toyota Triple Crown winner is declared at Life Time Tri Oceanside using an ‘equalizer’ time handicap format judged by Life Time.

Life Time Tri Oceanside’s new Club Incentive Program is designed to reward tri teams and clubs through special marketing opportunities, coaching outreach and complimentary race-weekend amenities.
How it works
Once enrolled, team/club managers receive 10% discount codes for promotion to their respective athletes, who input the code when registering for the 2013 race. Life Time Tri staff will then track team registrations, advise of usage rates throughout the season and award perks accordingly.
Participating teams and clubs will receive complimentary marketing opportunities just for participating, as well as earn various race weekend amenities, including reserved finish line areas, transition racks and private wave starts.
To enroll, contact Scott "Hootie" Hutmacher at email@example.com.
